Wild Wild Roses

While I was walking in Humber Bay Park, I took a few photos of beautiful wild roses that I would like to share with you.

Wild roses occurs in hundreds of species of shrubs with beautiful inflorescences. It can often be found along roadsides as a landscape element.

Common flower colours for wild roses include pink, white and red. Its individual varieties differ in flower color and fruit shape.

Rose petals, buds and fruits (hips) of the plant are edible. The petals are used to make jam. Rosehips can be used to make preserves and wines. Wild rose is widely used in cosmetology, pharmaceuticals and herbal medicine. They also look beautiful as bouquets.
