Look closely and you will notice that all of the paintings in this group have a canoe in them.

This seemed like a fitting post to me as it is canoeing season in Canada and they are such iconic images for cottage country and beyond.  

I really like when the light just skips the water or filters through trees. For me that makes painting so much more fun and it’s easier to get creative with colours this way. Happy July everyone!
