Fall is one of our favourite times of the year. My husband and I love to hop in the car and take off for a drive to check out the changing colours of the landscape whenever we can.
October 3rd this year, was one of those great days for a drive. The sun was shining, and the skies were blue. We left from the Bobcaygeon area and headed north.

During our drive we took a side trip off onto the Dorset Scenic Tower Road to check out the views from the Observation Tower. We parked out car at the bottom, paid our fees and decided to walk the half mile to the tower to enjoy the sounds and smells of the woods along the way. (You can drive your car to the top for a little higher fee). Either way, it is worth the trip to the top and the climb up the tower enhances the views even more.

When we arrived back at the car, we decided to continue our drive into Algonquin Park. Again, it was worth the drive, the colours were great – the yellows were bright, lots of different shades of orange with pops of the red showing here and there.

We enjoyed the drive and the brilliant fall colours. I hope you enjoy a few of the pictures we took along the way.
