Marilyn Matis

Marilyn Matis was born and raised in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. She spent her childhood hiking and learning about nature along with her family. They spent a lot of time at local conservation areas. She had a variety of small cameras and loved to take pictures. Eventually she and her husband settled in Caledon and raised a family of four children. She began taking pictures of birds in the backyard and on hikes in the area. Eventually she purchased a better camera and began posting her pictures on Facebook and Instagram. Whenever she has a chance, you will find her hiking on the Bruce Trail, the Caledon Trailway, or enjoying wildlife in the backyard where she has a variety of feeders. She loves the joy her pictures bring to other people and enjoys sharing pictures of the large variety of birds and animals that live in Caledon and its surrounding area.
