Born in Toronto, Ontario, Marica completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 2017, specializing in drawing and painting and winning awards in both disciplines. Following the completion of her degree, she spent a year working as a custom art framer, which sparked her passion for the unique framing that she often uses to complement her artwork. She then spent three years working at a prominent gallery in North York as an art & framing consultant, deepening her experience in the art world. Currently working as a full-time artist based in Toronto, her practice mainly consists of detailed works depicting dreams and daydreams. By combining realism and surrealism, the goal is to make the impossible look possible, with the hopes of sparking the viewer's imagination.
