Jim Sollows

Jim Sollows lives in the little historic village Fort Langley, about 30 minutes from Vancouver Canada. His home is nestled beside the Fraser River near the Inside Passage between the mainland and Vancouver Island. Much of his photography is taken in this same area. Jim has been a photographer for nearly 50 years. Currently he shoots both film and digital, especially film! He loves to restore and use a wide variety of cameras ranging from a 150 yr old Watson and Sons Large Format all the way to James Bond’s famous sub miniature spy camera. Jim especially enjoys his beloved Leica M6 or his magnificent Hasselblad 500cm medium format camera .. the one that went to the moon. All film processing and printing is done in his own darkroom. He loves all aspects of photography but finds the greatest joy in helping others discover the challenge and satisfaction of film photography through teaching and his YouTube channel.
