An Afternoon in Annecy

This picture story was submitted by Laura Brady of Bolton.

I had the pleasure of exploring Annecy, France in July 2023. It was a blazing hot day but there was a farmer’s market, ice cream, and beautiful vistas to distract me from the heat.

Annecy is often called the Venice of the Alps because of the canal system built on the Thiou River, canals initially built to support local silk manufacturing. It was a perfect French interlude.
